WASHINGTON – December 5, 2023 – Anne Bradbury, President and CEO of the American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC), delivered testimony before the House Energy & Commerce’s Subcommittee on Energy, Climate, & Grid Security on the topic of “America’s Future: Leading a New Era of Energy Dominance, Security, and Environmental Stewardship.”
In her testimony, Bradbury highlighted industry’s pivotal role in propelling the nation from energy scarcity to abundance, ushering in an era of American energy and environmental leadership on the global stage. She explained that American oil and gas producers have an irreplaceable role in addressing the challenge of global climate change, while meeting the world’s growing energy demand.
Bradbury testified, “One thing is certain: the need for oil and natural gas is not going away; the question is not whether the world will use oil and natural gas, but rather whose oil and natural gas will the world be using?” She also stressed the need to prioritize increased USLNG exports to support our economic, energy security, and climate goals.
Bradbury reiterated the interconnection of climate, energy, and foreign policies in maintaining and enhancing American energy dominance. She affirmed AXPC’s commitment to addressing the dual challenge of tackling emission reduction and meeting global energy needs.
