AXPC Statement on Passage of H.R.1, the Lower Energy Costs Act

WASHINGTON – Today, AXPC CEO Anne Bradbury released the following statement after the US House of Representatives passed H.R. 1 (by a 225-204 vote), the Lower Energy Costs Act:

In passing the Lower Energy Costs Act, the House of Representatives demonstrated its commitment to unleashing American energy for our nation’s economic growth, security, and environmental leadership.

We encourage the US Senate to work in a bipartisan, bicameral way to pass legislation that unleashes American energy and lowers household costs by modernizing permitting, supporting US energy’s access to global markets, supporting production on federal lands, and repealing the new, punitive tax on natural gas that would raise Americans’ energy bills.
