Washington, D.C. – The American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC) today welcomed the House Natural Resources Committee’s markup of the SPEED Act, calling it an important step toward advancing durable reforms to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) that support U.S. energy security and infrastructure development.

Today’s markup of the SPEED Act is a critical step towards fixing the decades-old permitting challenges that delay and derail all forms of American energy projects. Jared Golden, and the Committee for advancing common-sense reforms that cut the red tape and end the permitting lawfare that hold back American energy production.
