AXPC Urges Congress to Pass Government Funding Deal, Protect American Energy Production

November 9, 2025

Washington, D.C. – The American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC) today urged members of Congress to vote in favor of the government funding deal to reopen the federal government and protect the development of American-made energy.

Anne Bradbury, AXPC CEO, said:

The ongoing government shutdown puts American energy security at unnecessary risk. Every day without funding increases the chance of harmful disruptions to oil and natural gas development on federal lands – disruptions that could drive up costs for consumers who depend on affordable, reliable energy. AXPC urges Congress to pass the government funding deal and reopen the federal government to protect American energy production.
