AXPC Urges Congress to Pass Continuing Resolution, Avoid Shutdown Disruptions to American Energy Production

September 30, 2025

Washington, D.C. – The American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC) released the following statement today urging Congress to pass the Continuing Resolution to keep the government open and avoid harmful disruptions to domestic energy production.

Anne Bradbury, AXPC CEO, said:

“America’s independent oil and natural gas producers work every day to deliver the energy that powers our economy, and a fully functioning federal government is critical to supporting domestic energy production. Government shutdowns threaten to stall the development of oil and gas resources on federal lands – delaying energy projects and hurting consumers who depend on affordable, reliable energy. AXPC urges Congress to pass the Continuing Appropriations and Extension Act of 2026 to keep the government open.”
