Washington, DC – Today, Anne Bradbury, CEO of the American Exploration & Production Council, released the following statement after President Trump signed into law the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution of disapproval to block implementation of the Biden Administration’s Natural Gas Tax:
“AXPC thanks President Trump for signing the Congressional Review Act legislation – to undo EPA’s flawed rule to implement the natural gas tax. While American energy producers remain laser focused on reducing methane emissions, this punitive rule risked undermining those efforts.
“By signing this CRA into law, President Trump is stopping the implementation of this punitive rule in its tracks, giving certainty to American energy producers and helping to maintain American energy dominance. AXPC also commends Rep. August Pfluger and Sen. John Hoeven for their work in Congress on this important legislation. We will continue to work with the Trump administration and Congress to repeal the underlying statute, which threatens to drive up energy costs for American families and businesses.”
