Washington, DC – Today, Anne Bradbury, CEO of the American Exploration & Production Council, released the following statement after the Senate passed the Congressional Review Act (CRA) resolution of disapproval to block implementation of the Biden Administration’s Natural Gas Tax:
AXPC applauds the United States Senate for their passage of the Congressional Review Act to undo EPA’s flawed rule to implement the natural gas tax.
While American oil and gas producers are laser focused on continuing to reduce emissions, it’s critical to undo these punitive implementing rules while we will continue to work with Congress to repeal the underlying statute for the tax that risks driving up energy costs. We thank Senator John Hoeven and Rep. August Pfluger for their leadership on this legislation and look forward to President Trump signing it to law so that American energy companies can continue to innovate and produce the energy America needs.
