Washington, D.C. – Today, the American Exploration & Production Council issued the following statement praising new agreements by Japan’s largest power generation company, JERA, to dramatically expand purchases of U.S. LNG.
Anne Bradbury, CEO of AXPC, said:
Delivering reliable, scalable, affordable American-made LNG is mutually beneficial for the U.S. and global partners like Japan, generating economic growth at home and limiting geopolitical uncertainty. Long-term LNG contracts like those announced between key American exporters and JERA support U.S. GDP, strengthen the trade balance, create high-paying jobs across the energy value chain, and reinforce America’s role as a stable energy partner. This progress has been made possible by President Trump and his Administration’s leadership to restore regulatory certainty around LNG exports.
