AXPC Commends Interior Department’s Action on Emergency Permitting Procedures

Washington, D.C. – Today, Anne Bradbury, CEO of the American Exploration & Production Council, released the following statement commending the U.S. Department of the Interior for implementing emergency permitting procedures in response to President Trump’s National Energy Emergency declaration:

The Interior Department’s policy announcement to follow through on President Trump’s National Energy Emergency declaration is a critical step to unlock the responsible development of our country’s vast oil and natural gas resources. For far too long, the development of oil and gas interests on federal lands has been hung up by unnecessary administrative delays. We echo that energy security is national security and applaud Secretary Burgum and his leadership team for pursuing a more efficient, predictable, and transparent process for permitting on federal lands to unleash American energy.
