Washington, D.C. – Today, the American Exploration & Production Council (AXPC) released the following statement supporting the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee’s reconciliation provisions. Critically, the Committee’s provisions would ensure durable reforms for the responsible development of oil and gas on federal lands, while addressing roadblocks to building energy infrastructure.

“We applaud the Energy and Natural Resources Committee for taking decisive steps to unleash American energy through smart, durable policies that reopen access to federal resources and build out American energy.
“The Committee’s leasing and permitting reforms would have a generational impact – creating a lasting, predictable framework to responsibly produce American-made energy on federal lands.
“AXPC urges Congress to retain these landmark provisions in the final bill and ensure our nation’s independent producers can keep fueling American energy dominance for decades to come.”
