May 20, 2025

Washington, D.C. – Today, American Exploration & Production Council CEO Anne Bradbury released the following statement in response to the Department of Energy’s review of the 2024 LNG Export Study:

AXPC commends the Department of Energy for its thoughtful review of the 2024 LNG Export Study and for reaffirming its support for the proposition that LNG exports are in the best interest of the American public, in the form of new jobs, improved trade balance, GDP growth, increased tax revenue, and stable domestic prices.

This decision reflects a strong commitment to expanding U.S. LNG as a reliable, strategic energy resource that benefits both Americans and our allies around the world. Restarting the processing of export licenses is an important signal of the United States’ role as a stable and responsible energy partner.
